Life=Learning.

Can I just say how grateful I am to be alive.
I love life. I love living. Sometimes it can be difficult, but I still like it. I really like breathing air. I really like talking with my boys. I really like dealing with my issues when they are being dealt with (not when I am not dealing with them though). I really like helping others deal with their issues and feel their emotions. I really like reading peoples' blogs. I really love babies. I love pregnancy and I love it when babies are born. I'm not pregnant, but I know people who are and I love it. It is a beautiful thing! I love to see the blue sky. I love to spend time reminiscing. I love my family!

Recently, since the events in Haiti, he has been very concerned about the people there. He has been very concerned about earthquakes. He lost his third tooth the other day and he said he wants to give half of his money to the Haiti relief fund through the LDS church. (He really is a sweetheart.)
The other day he told me he was not feeling well. When I asked why, he asked something about what happens when we die? He has been so concerned with life. I suggested that he pray about it and ask Heavenly Father to help him feel better. That night he prayed about it and the next day he said he felt much better. The day after that however, he said he was not feeling well again. When I asked why he said "you know." I felt so sad for him. I remember when I was young, I worried often about where we came from, where we're going, how we were made. It is a scary thought for a little kid.
So we sat down on the couch and we were talking. There is a picture of Christ on my wall with some kids around it.

This one to be exact.
He looked at it and then back at me and with tears in his eyes he said "when I look at that picture I feel better." What a great teaching moment that was for us. I am so thankful for my son, well God's son that I get to raise.
I am so thankful for the holy ghost.
I am grateful for moments like this when I can feel the spirit and teach my son about the spirit. We talked about his feelings. I am glad that he feels comfortable enough with me that we can talk about these things. We have had quite a few moments to teach lately, and I like that.
Back to blogging I go.

Life update...

Just a little update.

(I want to get back into the habit of blogging again, but it probably won't happen for a couple of months while I am finishing up school, so this is what you get.)

The boys a couple days before Christmas. We took this picture for Gale Hale. The boys are in a blanket that was given to Dave when his friend Rhett Hale died. This is us on Christmas Eve at my mommas after opening Jammies.
I love spending time with my family :)

Joey Christmas day, with his scooter and his "Wovrine" shirt. All he wanted was Wolverine stuff for Christmas.

David and his new bike. The boys were so easy to please again this Christmas. I hope they keep this up.

I love new Sunday clothes on my boys. They are so handsome! David is quite the poser!

I can't get Joey to stand still for two seconds, but he is still a handsome boy!!!

Last week we went to the Hogle zoo for some Saturday family time. It was nice to be together. Our favorite part of the zoo was the family of orangutans. They were funny and loveable.

Those are the pic updates I have for now. Life is good. I am ever so busy with school, internship, being a mom, wife, primary teacher, housecleaner, researcher etc. etc. you know the life. I'll keep trying to update this and get more interesting stuff. Lots o luff, Mrilla

Not blogging

So I have not blogged for a while and I am having withdrawals. We are currently in the process of changing internet providers. This is coming to you via internet at BYU. Our new internet should be up and running on Feb 1.

Merry Christmas

Well I have my laptop, but no cord to hook up my camera to it. I left the cord at home so I'll post pictures when we get back to Provo.

Can I just say that I LOVE ST. GEORGE!
I have had such an enjoyable vacation in the beautiful Southern Utah. I Love being home. I love being with my family. I love seeing old friends. I love the warm weather. I love the Red mountains, the Yellow sun and the Blue skies. The colors in this area are amazing!

Dave and I and the boys have been staying at my grams. I have been taking quite a few pictures, but like I said I have no way of posting them until we get home. Dave's sister Jacquie took some family pictures for us. That was fun :).

It has been too long since I last posted so I wanted to give a quick update. We are doing well, enjoying St. George. I'll post more Christmas details later.

I have felt close to the spirit of Christmas thanks to some neat Christmas programs and talented people. I loved reading Christmas books every night and watching Christmas movies daily. Now onto the New Year and some New Year goals. What are yours? I'll post about mine when I figure them out:).

12 days of Christmas Spirit...

Last year I attempted to do this,

12 days of Christmas to help get myself and my family more in the Christmas spirit. Each day I wanted to do something nice for someone else or some other activity to get us in the mood. I didn't do so well then, so I am trying again.

Here are some of my ideas, do any of you have others?

* Go caroling.

* Do secret service for each other in the house.

* Take gifts to the neighbors.

* Go see the temple grounds.

* Go look at Christmas lights.

* Read christmas stories, each night one.

* Help the boys buy gifts for each other.

* Write letters to missionary grandparents.

* Make bread dough ornaments for friends and teachers.

Well that is 9 and I need 12. I am open to other ideas. What do you all do to serve and get in the Christmas spirit? Things I can do with a 4 and 6 year old.
