Party on Wayne, Party on...

This August (and probably everyone after it) has been one party after another...
At the first of the month we went to Mesa for my cousin Lauralie's wedding. We were there for 5 days.
The bride and the whole wedding were BEAUTIFUL...
While we were there we went to see the Tuitavuki's in Phoenix and went to church with them...
After all that, these are the only pictures I took as we were leaving... One of the best parts of the trip.
This is Lilly Ann
She is a twin to Layla Sandra
I miss these girls so much! They are the BEST. There is something very special about them.
I Love babies!!! The day after we got home we had a party in St. George to celebrate David and Joey's birthdays with friends and family there. We were able to swim in Dave's sisters pool, bbq hotdogs, and have costco cake. Yummy fun!

This is a shot of the Provo Party. We had three blow up water slides, and brownie cake for dessert.
I went very simple.
We did homemade and word of mouth invitations.
No games, no party favors, just water, slides, otter pops and yummy cake.
It was fun!
These are the rest of the Leishman cousins. They came to the Provo party.
Finally, towards the end of the season we got a shot of all of us at Seven Peaks.

Oh What fun!

Joey is 4...

Here is the Birthday boy JOEY!!!
This boy is so easy to please! I am so thankful for him! He is such a sweetheart!
Happy Birthday Wolverine!
He is constantly imagining he is a super hero... The last little while he has wanted to be wolverine... So with the money he got from his Aunties for his bday he bought this costume. We then got him the little figurine he is holding.

Joey is so brave and smart.

He had to get his blood drawn so it could be tested before he starts preschool. He did not even flinch. He closed his eyes and counted to 30. SMART and BRAVE for a barely 4 year old huh?

Love you Joey! Happy Birthday!

I am a Baby...

Yesterday was David's first day of First Grade.
(My battery was dead when I dropped him off so we took this picture after school.)
He is the youngest in his class as he has an August birthday and we chose to start him last year rather than wait for this year. He was ready. Now looking back I can not imagine if we would have had him wait. He is one of the biggest (tallest) kids in his first grade class, imagine if he were just starting Kindergarten...
He is so smart!
He reads one verse in the scriptures several times a week, with minimal help.
At back to school night his teacher sent home a spelling list. We went home, read over it once, and then I asked him to spell the words... he got them all right the first time around.

I love to look at those Big Brown eyes!
This is the second day of school.
Yesterday when I dropped him off I asked the teacher if I could come to the lunch room and eat with him... I had tears coming in my eyes... She said she would be with them the whole time and help them all eat, but I still wanted to go. I was worried my boy would "need" me. Ok, so I knew he wouldn't "need" me, I knew he would be all right without me, but I "needed" him. I needed him to stay my little baby. My first born. I needed him to need me. I was sad to realize he is growing up. I cried the whole way home. Sobbed.
I am so Proud of my David- how smart, friendly, handsome, helpful and neat he is. He is a Terrific Kid! I Love You David!
I guess I'll be ok if he doesn't need me at school...:)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAVID...

David Jr is 6!!!(I know this is not the best picture, sorry. I took it on my phone, on my way out the door to my internship.)
I got Jr. these balloons yesterday morning for his birthday. In response to this he said, "You are the best mom ever!"
That is how I used to feel when my mom would get me balloons on my birthday.
They are so bright and Happy!
He bought this outfit himself with the money his Auntie Chris and Auntie Jacquie gave him.
Legos star wars t-shirt, cuz he has played the game on the Xbox with his cousin Danny a lot this summer.
Good job Davey!
I love this little guy. He is the best son named David I have ever had! :)

The Races...

This Year for the 24th of July in Utah we went to Enterprise. This is something my family used to do every year when I was younger. It felt fun to carry on the tradition.
Here is David before his 24th of July race... He has a green shirt on and is about in the middle crouching down...

Here is Joey before his lil' race... He's wearing a Y shirt, and is with my lil' bro Ben. I got a better picture of him than of Jr...

There was a super cool money hunt in a home made swimming pool. The fire department was there spraying the kids too. The boys loved it!

They were able to buy snow cones with the money they collected... :)
Joey, David and Cousin Kade.
We went up to the Terry family ranch and had dinner with My Dad's side of the family... I thought this was a cool backdrop for a family photo, we weren't very prepared though! Here's Brendon, David, Danny, and Joey waiting for the left over fireworks from the 4th.

Big Dave and Buddy Brendon lighting fireworks, being pyros...
