My New Friends...

This is a group photo of some of my new friends. We are all in the MSW program together at BYU. There is a total of 42 of us, so 3 are missing here. Anyways these are all such neat people! I am excited to get to know them better. Already I can tell that we are going to have a blast for the next 20 months.

Happy Birthdays!

This is how the day started. Boys in tub:)Well I found my camera cord and realized that I never posted pictures from the boys birthday party. It was a fun day. We did a joint party since David's birthday is on August 12 and Joey's is on August 21. The water slides make for a fun easy party.
I am so thankful to all of the supportive family and friends who came to the birthday party. We all felt like it was a hit and a blast. Thanks everyone!
The kids waiting in line for a turn at the pinata.
Dave and a friend finishing off the basketball pinata that the string broke before it did, a little too much candy inside I guess.
Joey and his Elmo cake. Thanks to Grandma Leishman who insisted on making their cakes even though she just had a knee surgery two days prior. She really wanted to make the cakes because she'll be gone for the next two years on a mission.
I can't believe joey is 3 and david is 5.
David and his Incredible Hulk birthday cake. Isn't Dave's mom talented? Both of our moms are very talented actually.....

Family Home Evening

Tonight for family home evening we talked about body safety. I have recently been hearing quite a bit of child abuse and sexual abuse from classes and neighbors so I thought that I had better talk to my kids a little more in detail than I have in the past. I got some information online about "body safety" and we discussed what was ok and not ok. We talked about keeping our bodies safe by wearing helmets and seatbelts, and then moved into keeping our private parts private, saying no, and telling mom and dad if anything unsafe ever happens. If anyone has any other bright ideas let me know. We sang Head shoulders knees and toes as our song for the evening, and colored a picture of a boy fully clothed to represent how we should keep our bodies private and safe. I feel like the discussion went well.

Loads of Fun!

Since we have been here in Provo, almost one month, we have done so many fun things. We have friends and family here that we have not been able to see much in the past that we are now getting to see more of. We took the boys to Lagoon with some money that they had saved up. We went to Chuckee Cheese for a family night. We hiked the Bridal Veil Falls, which are some beautiful falls if you have not ever seen them. Just last night a friend of ours invited us to a Luau and polynesian dance presentation. We've been to birthday parties, a ward party, BYU football game, a grad student dinner, CES fireside, the list of fun just goes on and on. It is nice to be here in Provo and look at the brighter side of things rather than the negative things that we could also take a look at. (I won't even go there right now because that is not what is important.) WE are truly being blessed. I see the hand of the Lord in our lives daily. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ and am thankful for all the blessings I recieve from it. I hope that I can share some of the blessings, if not all, with others. I am so thankful for friends and family who love and support us in all we do!

Life is Amazing...

Here is an old picture of Dave and the boys from Father's day. Just wanted to show you all how cute they are. I love them so much! I am so happy that they are willing to take this journey with me. They are so supportive and loving and I don't know who or what I'd be without them.
This picture is also from Father's day... It is something I am looking forward to...These are all of our Leishman nieces and nephews. Dave's parents got their mission call to the West Indes and their mission farewell talks are on the 27th. I am so excited to see all of our families! I know we are not too far away now, and its not like we lived WITH them before, but I really miss all of them. Right now my life is so full and emotional I need them! I feel so many thoughts and prayers coming our way and I know that they are from our family and friends. Thank you!
Then here are a couple of my nieces at a family reunion this Summer with David and Joey. I am excited to see all of my family next weekend.
Here is an old one of David and Joey at Wal Mart riding Pumba, they love these stupid things, and it is ok with me cuz its cheap entertainment. It helps them be good while shopping so that they can earn a ride on Pumba...
Last but certainly not least Joey in His BYU attire. I have looked through all of the boxes that were computer room stuff and I can't seem to find my cord to download pictures from my camera, so I took this one on my cell phone just barely, and here it is for all of your viewing. Joey and I get to spend time just with each other while David is at school. Why is it that my boys are so much better when they are alone, versus when they are together. They play good together, but they wrestle and play loud!
I am really enjoying BYU and all of my classes. I can't wait to help people, as a Social Worker. There have been so many thoughts and blessings that I have noticed lately and I want to share them all here with you, but there's just so many. I'll try to do better now that my internet is working and share them as they come, assuming the thoughts and blessings will continue. I bought this hat at a BYU game that my brothers and uncle came up to. Daves parents also came up for the same game, it was a fun day.
I have met so many NEAT people lately and feel so blessed for that. We had a regional conference that was so spiritual and were able to go to a CES fireside, by Elder Holland. He spoke about trials and making them a liberty jail type experience. It was very good! I wish I could write his whole talk here, it was great! You can probably find it online...Anyways I won't keep you all. I love you and appreciate all your thoughts.

Hi

Well I do not know where my background went, but I am here still. Just wanted to let all of you know, that care, that we are all doing well. I am feeling more comfortable now in the home we are in cuz i painted most of it and got some new blinds hung. It is going to be great! The neighborhood and ward are wonderful! Schoool is great! I just got done with my first week worth of classes because I do not have class on thurs and fri. I am excited to learn and be able to help people a little better than I could before. The boys are doing wonderful! They miss their friends in Cedar, but are quickly making new ones. Our internet is still not hooked up, last week they told me the 3rd, but now the internet company is saying the 9th. So we'll see... After it gets connected I'll post pictures and such, for now I am in a BYU computer lab and don't want to spend too much time here. Love you all tons. Thanks for your love and support.
