Some of the things we have been doing

My cute friend Becky and her son Dawson came to St. George from Cedar City to hang out with us and of course go to Costco.
These are my dear friend Lindsey's kids and mine at a FUN park in St. George. She also gave me a really awesome watch as a late birthday gift when she was here. Thanks Linz!Girl's night out at Spoon Me in St. G, with some of my wonderful family. A few of us went to see the infamous vampire movie afterwards, and although I have not read the books I have a huge crush on Edward.Just a few pix from Tuesday.

Getting Ready for Christmas!...

Practically every day since Halloween David and Joey have asked if we can get the Christmas stuff out. (A neighbor of ours apparently has a tradition that every year the day after Halloween she gets her Christmas stuff out, so now all the kids in the neighborhood that play with her kid want their stuff out as well.)
So here we go...Sunday after church when the sun went down we put up our tree. The past couple years I have put the treee up for about a week without decorations because I think it is so peaceful and beautiful. This tree I bought a few years ago and it has little pine cones all over it just like these. It really is peaceful for me to have the lights on like this, all day sometimes.

Then on Monday for FHE we put out the main nativity that we have and talked about the "Reason for the Season".

Dave and I have been collecting this nativity for a few years now and this year I was able to purchase the final piece we needed.

I love this saying by Elder Maxwell. I hope we all decide this season that there is room for Him in our lives and homes!

Today Is The Day...

#7

Well we did it. We made it this far! Now lets hope that the "seven year itch" doesn't get us...

I kinda figured it out... This is our Honeymoon in Hawaii. We love the cottage on the beach that we stayed in. It was just about fifty feet away from where we're standing here.

I'll try another one later...

I am pretty bummed that I could not find our wedding pictures. they are in our home in Cedar in my closet still (the renters did not need the space). So I'll get the pictures when we go down for Thanksgiving. Anyways these next two are from our engagement night. Dave was so sweet... He totally surprised me! I love the way he proposed... Then we went to dinner at Outback Steakhouse. That is where we went to celebrate #7 as well!

I think he is the hottest man alive! Love you Honey!
Seven reasons I love Dave…
1. He can be really humorous and make me laugh!
2. He is real, meaning he do not pretend to be someone he is not.
3. He loves me!
4. He love people! (even though everyone bugs him, I know deep down he loves them.)
5. He loves being a dad to our boys.
6. He likes to try new things!
And last but certainly not least…
7. He is extremely Good looking!

Here’s an extra just in case…
8. He is mine!!!!
I keep thinking of more, but for the sake of time... I'll end there.

Yesterday...

It was such a nice day in Provo on Saturday.
A few days ago Dave and I took the boys for a little hike and they did SO well.
We decided that we would try to do that once or even twice a week
(Provo has so many little trails that you can hike on).
Since Dave was sick yesterday and has been for four days now I decided to take the boys and get out of the house.
While we were hiking we found some really cool parks because we were up high we could see them down below.
After getting back to the car we drove around until we found the parks.
David had also earned a free mini pizza from Pizza Hut for reading.
We went and got the pizza so they could eat it at the park for lunch.

They are so much fun. And can you imagine, no fighting the whole time!

We found this little cave and they had to pose.
Here is the only one of me, My shadow... I did not have my camera so these pictures are from my phone. Thank heavens for technology!

ANGELS...

Well I hope that it is ok to post twice in one day, cuz I feel like it. I just wanted to put these pictures up to show off some of the angels that I have in my life.

First is my Dad! He is the best! I'll have to post another time just about him... In fact some day I am going to write a book about our relationship! I feel like he was the best example a Father could be... when he made mistakes he said sorry and did his best to reconcile them... And he loved me and my siblings unconditionally... so much to write so little time!
My family would always go Deer Hunting in October, sometimes I would go, other times I would stay home and have a Birthday party with just the girls...

This is a Photo of my maternal Uncles at a reunion in Bear Lake, Id. My Grandpa has been one of my angels for 15 or so years.

These are my Paternal grandparents. I love them very much. I have in fact felt my grandma near me quite a bit lately. This is the Grandma who I recieved my first name from, Marilla. If I had more time I would post some of Elder Hollands talk from this last conference on Heavenly and Earthly Angels.... but I don't so I'll post some another time.

The COOLEST Family in the world!!!!

This is my family, well at least the maternal side of it.

They are the best to me! I miss them all so much!

Being a little further away than I used to be makes me miss them even moreI

I seriously would probably fight to the death with someone who wanted to argue who had better Aunts and Uncles!
This is the silly Picture! I love you ALL So Much!

What to post about???

Well it has been almost a week since I posted so I decided that I should post something...

Maybe I could post about my match making abilities... Last night I set up 5 different dates and one of them, it was their second date...

or I could post about the 6 extra guests that we had in our house this weekend, Uncle Eddie, Uncle Nathaniel, Brother Robert, Brother Ben, Sista Rosa, and Cousin Kyle, What a Fun weekend. I am so glad that they all feel comfortable enough to come stay with us in this little old house! I love my family! How many people have Uncles that would come stay with them??? you have got to meet my FAMILY, if you haven't already...

Or speaking about family, I could post about my Aunt Drana who has the miraculous pleasure of having both of her twins, Layla and Lilly, home with her and Uncle Doug.

or I could post about this new blog I found blokthoughtsnmore.blogspot.com, she has a cool contest on her blog, entitled "don't you hate it when..."

or I could post about my sweet little son who brings me more happiness than he does frustrations, and I have been meaning to do this for ahwile now...

Yeah I think I will do that one,

David Michael Leishman Jr.

is my first born son. He is so handsome and sweet (except he likes to wrestle A LOT with his little brother, but that is "normal" brother stuff right?) and he loves his momma.

We got his school pictures a while back, but I have not posted them... I get a little teary looking at these because I think he looks so much like my Dad. Thanks Dad!
Then here he is at the Jazz game, being his silly old self...
And the last picture for the post is him with his Kindergarten class on Halloween. I was able to be there to help with the PARTY. He is in the back by the teacher in black.
So some of the things I wanted to say about him are first, how incredibly sweet he is! After the first day at General Conference he could not stop talking about all of the poor people (The Beggars in Downtown Salt Lake) and how concerned he was with them. So when we went home he decided he was going to gather all of the change that he could and the next day when he saw them he would be prepared to give each of them atleast one coin. He did it... it just so happened to be Sunday so we did not want to go to the store and "break the Sabbath" so we needed some coins for the vending machines in the Joseph Smith Memorial building to get a snack. He really wanted this treat, and I was out of coins, so I told him he could use his coins or save it for the poor and not have his treat, guess what he chose... SURPRISE he decided he would not have the treat.

He is 5 years old... isn't that sweet?

The next thing is just how SMART he is... He is constantly spelling things in the car and asking me what it spells, like "C-A-T, mom, what does that spell?" and I'll say something like "dog" and he'll laugh and say "nope". However it's difficult when he says something like "C-T-R, what does that spell?" and I'll say "CTR" then he's like "but no what does it spell?" I have to explain that it stands for Choose The Right, but it doesn't really spell anything.

The last item I wanted to address with him is how he loves people, especially his MOMMA! He has said before, "when I go on my mission, I'm going to miss you." and he is constantly bringing me these little love notes that say "i luv yo mom" with some sweet little drawing. I can not imagine him being a teenager that doesn't like his mom. Last week he brought home a picture he drew of myself, him and Joey. I asked him why he did not draw his Daddy and he said cuz you are nicer ;) Although I know he loves and worships his Dad.
I Love you son! I am so thankful to get to be your Momma and learn from you and with you. I am so thankful for your patience with me and allowing me to help teach you.
Love you, Your Forever Momma.

Answer to Prayers...

Now that I posted The boys for sale blog I guess it is my responsibility to post the answer to my prayers that came yesterday. (you may want to read that blog first) I was praying the whole time before church for some hope or an answer, and guess what, there it was as soon as I sat down in Relief Society, (if you do not know what Relief Society is you may click here) our Ward does Relief Society first. The opening song was one that has become one of my favorites lately and was an answer to a previous prayer, a month or so ago. The words go like this...

1. You can make the pathway bright,
Fill the soul with heaven’s light,
If there’s sunshine in your heart;
Turning darkness into day,
As the shadows fly away,
If there’s sunshine in your heart today.

[Chorus]
If there’s sunshine in your heart,
You can send a shining ray
That will turn the night to day;
And your cares will all depart,
If there’s sunshine in your heart today.

2. You can speak the gentle word
To the heart with anger stirred,
If there’s sunshine in your heart;
Tho it seems a little thing,
It will heaven’s blessings bring,
If there’s sunshine in your heart today.

3. You can do a kindly deed
To your neighbor in his need,
If there’s sunshine in your heart;
And his burden you will share
As you lift his load of care,
If there’s sunshine in your heart today.

4. You can live a happy life
In this world of toil and strife,
If there’s sunshine in your heart;
And your soul will glow with love
From the perfect Light above,
If there’s sunshine in your heart today.

The scriptures that go along with the song are...1 Peter 3:8–12(New Testament) and Mosiah 2:17, 41(Book of Mormon).
This song helps me to have sunshine in my heart. As I think of the words and music I can't help but have sunshine in my heart. Sunshine helps me be happy. In Relief Society the lesson was on being happy...atleast that is what I got from it. First the teacher discussed ways we can be happy/take time for ourselves. Then we discussed ways to serve others, which should make us truly happy.
For my own purposes I will note here, from the New Testament, Mark chapter 12, verse 31. This is a commandment that basically says to love your neighbor as yourself. Now if we do not take care of ourselves/love ourselves, how are we supposed to keep that commandment??? I aplogize for not being the best with my words, but I truly wanted to share my testimony with my fellow bloggers about our Savior's love for each one of us. I know if He loves me and answers my prayers, He must do it for all of you, All of His children! I know that He is there and listens to our every happiness and sorrow. I know that if we will ask He will answer, it may not always be what we want, but He does hear and He does answer.
There was more to the answer and the day than that, but for sake of time that is my answer in a nutshell. I must say now after that, I will keep my boys. I feel a little refreshed and loved, now I just need to plan a girls night out... Anyone??

Boys For Sale...

What can I say? They really are the cutest and sweetest boys a mom could ever ask for. Every morning they come in to me and sit on my lap as I am studying (or lets be honest, blogging). Joey will come in and say it's morning now, can I have some cereal. And David will just sit there and try to push buttons and help me look at other things on the computer that I really do not want to. They just love me, and I love them!
Halloween was so much fun with these two cuties. This picture is after trick-or-treating, with all of their candy. They are so sweet and would say "trick or treat" and "thank you" afterwards. They would even say "Happy Halloween" to most of the people. Joey almost went in to half of the houses and after saying "trick or treat" he would say very nicely "can I have some candy". They are the best! I look forward to my time with them.
I am feeling very ungrateful this morning after looking through soooo many blogs and reading about husbands and wives who can only dream of having children and then reading of women who are searching for that "special someone". Well right now according to them, I have it ALL. But RIGHT now I do not want it ALL.
So you are welcome to them for a few days... you can even borrow my husband and father of the two beautiful boys. The price may be high and some restrictions may apply, but I need a break! I don't know why I am feeling this way, I just am. So I am now going to go
rea
d (Joey just came in and pushed buttons, it's thundering and he was scared so now he is sitting on my lap with a piece of candy pretending it is a snake)
scriptures and get ready for church and hope for some better feelings.

Just Chillin'...

We went to the opening Jazz game Wednesday night. Our friend Drew came with us because he was going to babysit for us, but we decided instead to take him and take turns watching the kids outside of the game at the mall (We only have two season tickets). Instead when I was walking by the Delta Center this guy handed me three free tickets, so my boys and I got to go in for the whole game as well. It was fun. The boys were actually very well behaved! Go Jazz!!!Then on Thursday I took the boys to the mall to see if we could find David a better Halloween costume and guess what... I got his costume for 75% off. Plus 20% off of that. The costume was at the Disney store for only $8. It was a Peter Pan costume, but we called him Robin Hood. The costume was so cheap that I let them each pick out a $4 toy. How cute...
They are the best. Stay tuned for Halloween Pictures. I am going to take a test today at the BYU testing center for one of my classes, then if I have time I'll post Halloween, if not, I'll post them tommorrow.
